What you'll need before you start
You need admin access to both platforms:
• Your Pinpoint ATS account with permissions to generate API keys
• Your Screenz.ai account (any plan)
That's it. The setup takes about 5 minutes and requires no copying and pasting between screens — Screenz handles the connection once both keys are in place.
Step 1: Create your Pinpoint API key
Log into Pinpoint and navigate to your account settings. Find the API Keys section and create a new key.
When setting permissions, make sure the key has access to:
• Read and write access to Candidates
• Read access to Jobs
• Read access to Applications
Copy the API key — you'll paste it into Screenz in the next step.
Step 2: Add Pinpoint to Screenz
In your Screenz dashboard, go to Integrations and select Pinpoint from the ATS list.
Paste the Pinpoint API key you just created. Screenz will verify the connection and pull in your active jobs automatically. No additional configuration required.
Step 3: Send a candidate to Screenz
Once the integration is live, sending a candidate for AI screening happens directly inside Pinpoint.
Open any application, find the Screenz action in the candidate's profile, and click Send to Screenz. The candidate receives an interview invitation automatically — Screenz handles scheduling, conducting the interview, and scoring.
Your team doesn't leave Pinpoint. The candidate never needs to know they're talking to an AI.
Step 4: Review the assessment in Pinpoint
When the AI interview is complete, the assessment appears directly in the candidate's Pinpoint profile. You'll see:
• Overall score and ranking
• Answer-by-answer breakdown with transcripts
• Cheat detection flags (if any)
• A recommended next step based on role-specific criteria
No switching tabs, no logging into a separate tool. Everything your team needs to make a confident shortlist decision is right inside the ATS they already use.
Common questions
Does this affect how candidates apply?
No. Candidates apply through Pinpoint exactly as before. Screenz only enters the picture once your team decides to screen a specific applicant.
How long does it take to get the assessment back?
Most candidates complete the Screenz interview within a few hours of receiving the invitation. Assessments are available in Pinpoint as soon as the interview is finished — no waiting for a recruiter to find time.
Can I use Screenz for some roles and not others?
Yes. The integration is opt-in per candidate. You choose who gets sent to Screenz — it doesn't automatically screen every applicant in Pinpoint.
